They have proved it to the world, that in tests also runs can be scored fast and at the same time huge amount of runs can be accumulated. Here are some of those players, who scored the fastest individual 300 runs and have set a new world to everyone. Below is the list.

Chris Gayle is one of the most destructive batman in the world. He uses raw power to hit any and every ball out of the stadium. In 2010, Gayle bashed the Sri Lankan bowlers and made the fifth fastest 300 of all time in test cricket. He hit 34 boundaries, 9 sixes and achieved the feat in just 393 balls. It was one of the best innings of his career, and, he is the only 4th batsmen in cricket to two triple hundred runs in one innings.

Karun Nari had a dream debut series against England as he etched his position in history as the 4th fastest batsman to score a triple hundred in tests. Nair hit a total of 32 boundaries and 4 sixes throughout his innings. His individual score helped India post a massive total of 759. India won the match with one innings and 75 runs. It was a handsome innings from the youngster and we hope to see more such knocks from this talented player in the upcoming future.

3. Virender Sehwag- 364 balls

Arguably one of the best hitters of the ball, Sehwag scored the third fastest triple hundred against Pakistan in Multan. He hit 39 boundaries and 6 sixes and was busy sending the ball out of the ground. He bashed the bowlers at his will and he brought his triple hundred with a six on 295. He showed class, aggression and fearless attitude. This innings of his came against one of the best bowling line ups of all time and thus is one of the best innings of Sehwag.

2. Matthew Hayden- 362 balls

The former Australian opener was one of the best batsmen that the world has seen in modern cricket. Along with Gilchrist, he could dominate any opponents and this getting his wicket was a dream come true for many bowlers. In this innings, he maintained a strike rate of 86.95 and hit 38 boundaries and 11 over boundaries. This was the fastest triple hundred then before Sehwag broke it later. It still stands in the second position even after 15 years of this innings.

In this innings, he scored the triple century in less than 300 balls and thus maintained a phenomenal strike rate of above 100. He hit 42 boundaries and 5 sixes against top class bowlers like Dale Steyn, M Ntini, M Morkel and others. He destroyed the backbone of the opposition bowling line up and helped his team to put a total of 627 runs. This record stands still even after 10 years and is unlikely to be broken in the near future.
