NFL rules are a Joke
Think about a basketball referee that calls a foul after the crowd moans and boos. Sometimes they call a foul to make up for the one they missed.
Dwyane Wade has already cemented himself as one of the best shooting guards to ever play in the NBA. His name will be thrown in with the likes of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Wade has 3 NBA titles, a NBA Finals MVP, is a 12 time All Star, an All Star MVP, and has an Olympic gold medal. With 15 seasons under his belt though, Father Time is catching up to him and maybe we're seeing the last of D Wade.
I always assumed Dwyane Wade would be a Heat lifer and never leave South Beach, then he left for Chicago. Wade was part of a very, very weird Bulls roster with the likes of Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler. As expected, that didn't work out very well for Chicago and they lost to Boston in the first round. Fast forward to September of 2017 and Dwyane Wade, one the best guards to ever play, was put on waivers. It was quickly and widely expected he'd sign with Cleveland to reunite with his partner in crime, Lebron James.
Remember what the Cavaliers roster looked like at the start of the season? What was left of Derrick Rose, a quickly aging Dwyane Wade, an injured IT, Jae Crowder, Kevin Love and what could be called an AARP NBA Team. It was a disaster waiting to happen and while Wade and Lebron had some old magic still, the Cavaliers mercifully traded Wade back to Miami where he truly belonged.
Wade came back to Miami and all was right with the world. Despite coming off the bench for the rather scrappy Heat team, his presence alone helped. Miami is now matched up vs a young but strong Philly team and if you caught last nights game, we saw a Vintage Wade performance.
Wade was on fire last night and put up 28 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in only 26 minutes. It was vintage D Wade. It was vintage Flash. It was everything Miami needed. Watching the highlights it's as if Wade never left South Beach and as if it was 2006 where Wade would lead his team to glory. Unfortunately I still expect Philadelphia to take this series and with a capped out roster, it's hard to see where Wade fits. If we are seeing the last few glimpses of Dwyane Wade, I hope he goes out swinging like he did last night.
