DFS NHL: Stack Em Up February 9, 2018

Top Line Stacks

Washington Capitals

Ovechkin($9,000 FD, $7,700 DK) –Backstrom($7,100 FD, $5,600 DK)- Carlson($6,000 FD, $6,300 DK)
Tonight’s top stack is the Washington Capitals. They face a struggling Columbus Blue Jackets team tonight, who they have had success in previous matchups. Washington is 7-1-2 in their last 10 matchups, while averaging 3.40 goals per game. Ovechkin currently leads the NHL in goals and is second in shots. Carlson is currently third in points and fourth in shots among defensemen. Backstrom always does well when paired on the same line with Ovechkin, and is a great power play facilitator. All three guys are on the first power play unit, and while the Caps are currently 11th in power play %, they are more than capable of scoring a bunch of power play goals. Look for Washington to score 3+ goals and Ovechkin, Backstrom, and Carlson to produce.

Los Angeles Kings
Kopitar($7,200 FD, $7,100 DK)-Toffoli($5,600 FD, $5,200 DK) -Doughty($5,800 FD, $5,800 DK)
Another good stack tonight are the LA Kings. LA has done well vs Florida, going 7-3 in their last 10 games, while averaging 3.40 goals per game. Kopitar is having a great season so far, having 57 points in 53 games. Doughty is 6th among defensemen in points and is a lock to play heavy minutes. This stack should go low owned and they have upside vs the Panthers. Florida is in the bottom half in goals allowed this season, and have missed their starting goalie. Look for the Kings to be able to score and this stack to produce.

Sleeper Stack:
Detroit Red Wings
Nyquist($6,000 FD, $4,400 DK)- Zetterberg($5,400 FD, $5,000 DK) - Mantha($4,200 FD, $5,300 DK)

Jonathan Quick/Darcy Kuemper($8,700/8,000 FD, $7,900/7,700 DK)
Either Quick or Kuemper, whoever gets the nod tonight, is this evening’s top goalie option. Both goalies have been good this season, especially Kuemper, who is 9-1-3 with a 1.78 GAA. Quick is still clearly the top goalie in LA, and is one of the better goalies in the NHL. Quick is 7-2 with a 1.72 GAA in his career vs Florida. In their last 10 games, LA has held Florida to 1.60 goals per game. Look for Quick or Kuemper to do well, and have a solid performance vs the Panthers.

Braden Holtby($9,100 FD, $8,200 DK)
Braden Holtby is another good option tonight vs the Blue Jackets, who have struggled mightily on offense lately. Holtby has not been his usual self this season, having a 2.76 GAA, and has especially been struggling lately. He is in a great bounce back spot tonight, and he should pick up the win and have a solid performance vs the struggling Jackets.

Sleeper Goalie:
Mike Smith/David Rittich ($8,200/7,800 FD, $8,300/8,100 DK)
