NBA Moves Before the Season Starts
The NBA season officially starts tomorrow and teams were getting last minute tasks done. See what went down hours before the NBA season kicked off.
The Boston Celtics are the favorites to make it to the NBA Finals next year in the Eastern Conference. With no LeBron James in the East, another team besides James will make it to the NBA Finals. Will they be able to make it to the NBA Finals and win it all next year?
Last year, the Celtics were able to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals and push the Cleveland Cavaliers to a Game 7. They fell short but their future was shining bright nonetheless. All that success last year was mostly without their two star players. Gordan Haywood missed the majority of the season and Kyrie Irving missed the most of the second half and the playoffs. Now, these two players will be back and we will see a new and better Celtics team.
Everyone has the Celtics making it out of the Eastern Conference but will they be able to? Their odds look good to everyone because the Celtics have the most talented team in the East. Only a few teams will give them some trouble but nothing they can’t handle.
The Toronto Raptors added Kawhi Leonard and he may be troublesome. He is a great offensive player and an even better defensive player. He alone can make the Raptors a force to be reckoned with. Most likely, the Raptors and the Celtics will be facing each other in the Eastern Conference Finals.
My prediction is that the Celtics will win it in six games. They have too many gifted players and Kawhi can only guard one. On top of that, the Celitcs have Brad Stevens as their coach and he is a genius in calling plays. He was able to take the injury-plagued Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals. Now, when he has his best players playing, he will be able to carry them further.
Nothing is guaranteed and a good team understands that. But with James out of the picture, the Celtics have a clear path to the NBA Finals. With the emergence of Jason Tatum, the Celtics have more than enough talent to overcome any obstacle that isn’t the Golden State Warriors.
