Nike reveals new Lakeshow jersey

Nike has unveiled their new jersey for the upcoming season for the Los Angeles Lakers. The new jerseys will have an old throwback feel to the Showtime era.

The previous jersey used a v-neck collar and the numbers used were single block with no shadow. They also removed the stripe under the arms for their new jersey. Much of the designs taken off the jersey were added back in the 1999-00 season.

The new jersey will include a single color for the entire jersey, but will add a double color trim around the arms. We see the return of the shadow on the numbers and the traditional collar. The collar also includes a two color trim and the Nike logo will be on right side and the Wish logo on the left.

The jersey does indeed bring back a feeling of nostalgia, as one may believe that Kareem or Magic wore this jersey in their time. Fans of the Showtime era should enjoy these as looking at them brings back the feeling of dominance the organization once had.

The jersey will make their official debut on September 30 against the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers will be hoping that switching their jersey to resemble an era of dominance will help them make the playoffs for the first time since 2013.
