This award usually goes a player who makes the most impact on the offensive side of the ball during their rookie season. Who could some of those candidates be?
The first player that comes to mind is New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley. He is a home run threat every time he touches the ball. Barkley will be a much needed weapon in the backfield for the New York Giants. He can also catch passes out of the backfield other than running the football. Saquon Barkley was the second overall pick in the NFL Draft. He rushed for 1,271 yards on 217 carries and 18 touchdowns last season at Penn State. Barkley also caught 54 passes for 632 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

Darnold isn't afraid to fling the ball and he will be a very good quarterback for the New York Jets down the road. Sam Darnold was the third overall pick in the NFL Draft. Josh Rosen is the most pro ready quarterback. He is a pocket passer and Rosen isn't known for his legs. He is an accurate passer and he makes throws in the right spots. Josh Rosen completed 62.6 percent of his passes for 3,756 yards 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season with UCLA. He also had 50 carries for -97 yards and two touchdowns. Rosen was taken 10th in the draft and the Cardinals moved up to get him.

His college teammates Sony Michel, was selected 31st overall by the New England Patriots. Chubb will be better in the long run. The Cleveland Browns current starting running back is Carlos Hyde, but Nick Chubb will definitely see the field. He rushed for 1,345 yards on 223 carries and 15 touchdowns last season at the University of Georgia. Chubb only caught four passes for 30 yards receiving.
The fifth player that comes to mind is San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis. He was the 44th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Pettis runs good routes and has very good hands. He will be a reliable receiver for Jimmy Garoppolo. Pettis can lineup in the slot and on the outside as well. He caught 63 passes for 761 yards receiving and seven touchdowns last season at the University of Washington. Dante Pettis also rushed for 50 yards on three carries.
The sixth player that comes to mind is Chicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller. He will mainly be in the slot for the Chicago Bears, but Miller could be very effective at it. He was the 51st overall pick in the NFL Draft and Anthony Miller could be one of Mitchell Trubisky's favorite targets. Miller caught 96 passes for 1,462 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. He also rushed for 25 yards on 10 carries.
