Who will Lebron James Sign with this Summer?

Lebron James is approaching another critical offseason in his NBA career. The Cleveland Cavaliers just got swept in the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors and because of that, his future remains uncertain. Lebron James will be a free agent on July 1 and he has the power to go where ever he wants.

Lebron is now 3-6 in the finals in his career. At this point in his career, it will most likely be more about rings and not money or stats, even though Lebron will get a good amount of money no matter where he signs. Because he is a free agent, what teams could he possibly go to?

The first option is, he could stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers own the eighth pick in the NBA Draft and that could be one of the factors that keeps Lebron James in town. He delivered his promise to the city of Cleveland which was to come back home and win a title. They could also a trade a bad contract to or two like J.R. Smith or Tristan Thompson. Lebron is also from Akron, OH.

Another team Lebron James could choose is the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers need another superstar and they are a promising team. Philadelphia has Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Markelle Fultz. The thing is Lebron James and Ben Simmons basically have the same style of game though.

The New York Knicks could be another option for Lebron James. Even though the Knicks are a mess of an organization, they could use a big star or two at the world's most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. They also have the cap room to sign some players.

Lebron James could return to the Miami Heat and join his best friend Dwyane Wade. They were teammates for part of the 2017-2018 season in Cleveland, but it didn't really work out. The Cavaliers traded Wade back to Miami. The Heat have a very underrated roster and are well coached by Erik Spoelstra.

This team is an outside the box thought but what about the Oklahoma City Thunder? Paul George is more than likely to leave the Thunder in free agency. Lebron's best friend Carmelo Anthony is still around in Oklahoma City for another season. Russell Westbrook is one of the best point guards in the NBA.

The most rumored destination for Lebron James at the start of the season has been the Los Angeles Lakers. Magic Johnson is in the front office for the Los Angeles Lakers and he knows a thing or two about winning multiple NBA titles. They have a ton of cap room to sign a couple of star players. It's possible that Lebron James teams up with Paul George in Los Angeles. The Lakers have rising players like Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Julius Randle, and Kyle Kuzma.

This is the second likely destination for Lebron James if he leaves Cleveland is the Houston Rockets. Chris Paul is already trying to recruit him. They also have James Harden and the Rockets are very good defensively. If it wasn't for the Chris Paul injury, the odds are the Rockets were going to beat the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. For Chris Paul's sake, it doesn't hurt to add another super star to the roster.

The San Antonio Spurs would also make sense for Lebron James. Head coach Greg Popovich is already trying to recruit Lebron to the Spurs. Popovich has a ton of respect for him. It would add another super star to the roster. The Spurs also need to hope that Kawhi Leonard is also healthy. They also have LaMarcus Aldridge. San Antonio has a really good supporting cast in Dejounte Murray, Kyle Anderson, Danny Green, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Pau Gasol, Rudy Gay and Patty Mills. Getting Lebron would also improves the Spurs chances of winning another NBA title.
