Joel Embiid Should be Considered an MVP Candidate
It is only January and a lot of people are talking about either James Harden or Giannis Antetokounmpo to win the MVP, but what about Joel Embiid?
The Boston Red Sox might have had one of the best seasons in MLB History. They won 108 games during the regular season and breezed their way to a World Series title. Boston has won four titles in the past 15 seasons.
They will be one of the favorites to win it all again next season because of a deep outfield, solid bullpen, solid starting rotation, and good managing. Other than them, who could win it all next season?
The Houston Astros is the first team that comes to mind. Alex Bregman, George Springer, Jose Altuve, and Carlos Correa will all be back. They will have one of the best starting rotations in baseball. Houston won the World Series for the first time ever in 2017. They are well managed by A.J. Hinch and he has a philosophy that will carry this team a long way.
The New York Yankees is the second team that comes to mind. Their offense is loaded. They need to fix their starting rotation. When they do that, the Yankees will be very dangerous. The bullpen can't save them all the time.
The Colorado Rockies is the third team that comes to mind. Their starting pitching is underrated. They have a loaded lineup. Bud Black is an underrated manager. Colorado lives and dies by scoring tons of runs in game. The National League isn't strong and they could be the favorites in the NL next season.
The Milwaukee Brewers is the fourth team that comes to mind. They are not a one-year wonder. Milwaukee will be the best team in the division next season because the Chicago Cubs will take a step back. The Brewers have a great bullpen and an excellent lineup, but they need some starting pitching. The Milwaukee Brewers were one win away from winning the National League pennant.
