Kevin Durant May Leave Warriors After Clash With Draymond Green
The Golden State Warriors are having an identity crisis after Kevin Durant and Draymond Green got into a heated argument during the last few second of a game.
WWE Money In The Bank will take place on June 17, 2018 and it is looking like a stacked card. The MITB men’s and women’s matches set up the future of WWE because whoever wins those matches can cash in their briefcase at any time for a title shot. We currently have 11 matches expected to be on the card but of course the card is subject to change.
Daniel Bryan vs. Big Cass
Daniel Bryan has already defeated Big Cass a couple times and it seemed like this feud was coming to an end but WWE will continue it for MITB. This match seems like it was thrown together since both Bryan and Cass are not in the men’s MITB ladder match and it serves no purpose to both superstars. With Bryan already defeating Cass a couple times, it does not make sense to have a third match and Cass lose again unless by DQ. I think Cass needs this win more than Bryan and he will get it and hopefully end this feud.
Prediction: Big Cass wins the match
Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn
This has been one of the strangest feuds WWE has put on. WWE seems to be just putting feuds and matches together that serve no purpose for this PPV. Bobby Lashley has the physical look and capability to be a main eventer but what he needs is a mouthpiece like Paul Heyman to really get him over. Lashley should easily beat Zayn in this one on one match and enter the main event picture sooner than later.
Prediction: Bobby Lashley wins the match
Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal
This match will no doubt be a “boo” fest. Roman Reigns and Jinder Mahal are two of the least favorite among the fans and I can hear the “boring” chants now. Reigns is on a kick he should be Universal Champion but when you look closely, his foot was on the apron and Lesnar did in fact beat him at Greatest Royal Rumble. Let’s hope WWE does not decide to have this be the main event like they did with Reigns and Samoa Joe at Backlash. I don’t see Mahal beating Reigns even with help.
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins the match
Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (SmackDown Tag Team Championship)
The Bludgeon Brothers won the Smackdown Tag Team titles at WrestleMania in easy fashion defeating The New Day and The Usos. They have looked unbeatable since and they should continue to roll at MITB. The Bludgeon Brothers should be able to defeat Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and keep their titles.
Prediction: Bludgeon Brothers win the match and retain
Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy (c) vs Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel (Raw Tag Team Championship)
Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel won a tag team battle royal on Raw and earned a title shot against Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy for the Raw Tag Team Championship. Wyatt and Hardy make for an interesting tag team and I can see them holding the title for a while. They should be able to DELETE Dallas and Axel and retain their tag team titles.
Prediction: Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy win the match and retain
Carmella (c) vs. Asuka (SmackDown Women’s Championship)
Asuka’s undefeated streak came to an end at WrestleMania against Charlotte Flair and two nights after WrestleMania, Carmella cashed in her MITB briefcase and defeated Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. In a match with no interference, there is no way Carmella can defeat Asuka one on one. The only chance Carmella has is if Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville interfere and help Carmella win or she cheats in some other fashion. My guess is Carmella some how retains the title.
Prediction: Carmella wins the match and retains
Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax (Raw Women’s Championship)
Ronda Rousey will get an opportunity at the Raw Women’s Championship. Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania to win the title and has looked unstoppable since. Hopefully this match is a good one because Jax has not shown the ability to have good matches. I think it might be time to move on from Jax as the champion and have Rousey or the winner of the women’s MITB match cash in and take the title. My guess is Rousey wins the title and defeats Nia Jax but don’t be surprised if there is a cash in tonight.
Prediction: Ronda Rousey wins the match and becomes new Raw Women’s Champion
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Elias (Intercontinental championship)
There has not been a hotter WWE superstar in the last few months than Seth Rollins. Rollins is defending his title week in and week out successfully and has been putting on terrific matches. I am very excited for this match and think this could steal the show. Elias has a very bright future and being in the match against Rollins will just elevate him. I don’t think it is Elias’ time just yet to get a big win like this. Rollins will defeat him and keep his title in what should be a very entertaining match.
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins the match and retains
Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match (Sasha Banks, Naomi, Becky Lynch, Ember Moon, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Natalya, and Lana)
After last year's irksome debut for the Women's Money in the Bank match (James Ellsworth handing the match to Carmella still rankles), this has the potential to be a match of the year contender. This match really highlights just how talented the women’s division is. I would have preferred Bayley over Lana but only 4 women from Raw could be in the match. Usually top stars like Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair do not win this type of match since they do not need the push. Lana does not seem like a viable contender to win this match because she can not wrestle well and would be a poor choice. Naomi has stalled since she lost the women’s title and has not been pushed since. I think the four leading contenders to win the match are Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Ember Moon, and Natalya. If this match occurs before the Rousey vs Jax match, I suspect we can have a cash in because I think Jax will lose the title but it is early to have a Rousey title reign. My prediction is Natalya will win the women’s MITB match and cash in on her friend who just won the title and defeat Rousey to become new Raw Women’s Champion.
Prediction: Natalya wins the Women’s Money In The Bank briefcase
Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match (Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Rusev, Finn Balor, and one member of The New Day)
This match features a ton of talent and is another difficult match to predict. This also has match of the year candidate written all over it. These eight superstars are a perfect fit for this type of match. Let’s start off by knocking a few options off and winding down to who the real contenders are. I think we can knock off quite a few guys who either don’t need the briefcase push or just simply will not win the match. Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe are main event caliber and do not need to win this match. I do not see Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode, Rusev, or Finn Balor winning this match. That leaves us with The Miz or one of the New Day members. I think it will end up being Big E entering the match from New Day. Big E could be pushed in singles competition and he would deserve it but I do not think he will win the briefcase. My prediction is The Miz will win the briefcase which will set up for Miz vs Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. I think Miz will cash in and win the WWE Title some time before WrestleMania and Daniel Bryan will either win the Royal Rumble or a title shot and face Miz at WrestleMania.
Prediction: The Miz wins the Men’s Money In The Bank briefcase
AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match (WWE Championship)
The feud we were all waiting for has, to be honest, disappointed. The WrestleMania match did not live up to the hype and was rather dull till Nakamura turned heel, and the matches since haven't really built on Nakamura's turn to the dark side. I am hoping we get an outcome we all deserve and finally end this feud. This match seems like a toss up but I am guessing WWE will have AJ Styles be the WWE Champion till SummerSlam. I am going with Styles to retain the title.
Prediction: AJ Styles wins the match and retains
